Fox 17’s Garry Frank weather forecaster has lost his temper with the seemingly endless Michigan winter in what has been described as a turbulent rant-cast. His stormy forecast of yet another cooler-than-average period was mostly addressed to his co-hosts and anchors who were equally dispirited about the continuing cold snap.
Frank had enough. He jokingly goes off about his co-worker’s whining when he finishes the seven-day forecast and quickly his frustration became viewers’ comedic relief.
“Every time! Doesn’t matter what time I come on, 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, and then you expect me to be chipper for five straight hours. It’s miserable,” Frank said. “I want you guys to say ‘wow that’s great news, it’s going to be 60 on Friday’… well, what do you want me to do, lie to you? I’ll put 70 every day next time.”
The Tuesday segment quickly took off, even making it to Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday night. On Friday morning, the news team addressed the televised clip, saying “Garry Frank (and our crappy weather) has stolen the show this week.”
That was amazing, can we have more snappy weathermen?
